We’re excited to introduce Dr. Pamela Munster as our new member of the medical advisory board. As a leading expert on the treatment of breast cancer, Munster will manage the quality of our oncology and breast cancer cases.
A Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and the Director of Early Phase Clinical Trials, Munster treats patients diagnosed with breast cancer, researches the DNA repair mechanisms of breast cancer cells, and develops drug therapies for breast cancer.
This work became personal in 2012 when at the age of forty-eight, Munster was diagnosed with a BRCA2 mutation, which is associated with high risks of developing certain cancers. A subsequent biopsy revealed that she had an early form of breast cancer. Her experience has helped her connect more deeply with her patients.
Drawing from her experience both as a doctor and as a patient, Munster co-founded the University of California, San Francisco’s Center for BRCA Research this year. It's the second one of its kind in the United States (the other one is in University of Pennsylvania) and provides various prevention and treatment options for patients and their families carrying BRCA1 and BRCA2 genetic mutations.
We are pleased that Munster has decided to partner with us to bring the world’s best healthcare to everyone in the world.
At MORE Health, we believe that every patient has the right to receive the diagnosis and treatment from the most authoritative experts in the world. We achieve this by helping the patients contact these specialists and uploading and organizing their medical documents onto our HIPAA-compliant platform. There, the doctors can discuss appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans despite being across the world. Our medical experts have been chosen for their cutting-edge research, deep empathy for patients, and shared mission of helping others.
