“I refused to accept anyone giving up on a young child,” says Hope Lewis, Co-Founder and CEO of MORE Health. Lewis was working as an international finance attorney when her client’s 18-month-old daughter was diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer. When physicians declared the case hopeless, it was a second opinion and new treatment plan from world-renowned oncologists that provided hope. Today, that little girl is fifteen, healthy, and cancer-free.
This story inspired the formation of MORE Health and directed the company’s mission to give people access to the best medical minds in the world when they need it most when facing a serious life-changing illness.
Guiding their mission and new brand is Jonathan Finlay, MD, ChB, FRCP. Finlay is a world-renowned pediatric neuro-oncologist, or as he likes to call it, “a child’s brain tumor doctor.” He is an Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and is Principal Investigator of NEXT / Head Start 4 Consortium Trial at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Among his many awards, he is the first pediatric specialist to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Neuro-Oncology.
Finlay will serve as Pediatrician-in-Chief of MORE Health for Kids, providing parents virtual second medical opinions with the leading specialists from world-class academic medical institutions. This service will be delivered through MORE Health’s proprietary digital platform and can be accessed in the U.S. or internationally.
