In the past few years, we have received many international requests for second opinions specific to radiation therapy treatment plans—which led our innovative team to create an outlet for this request on the MORE Health proprietary Physician Collaboration Platform™.
Dicom RT is a newly added function that will offer cancer patients and their oncology team peace of mind regarding the radiation treatment plan with a second opinion from the best medical physicians in the world. Our team is in the process of fine-tuning with the valuable feedback received from radiation oncologists, who are part of our network of academic medical center partnerships to improve functionality for clinical use.
The Dicom RT will serve as a unique and helpful tool for radiation oncologists to review radiation treatment plans for international or domestic patients. The specialists will be able to review and adjust contouring from the original. The radiation treatment plan is created based on the CT/MRI scan taken during simulation and highlights dosing, structures, and contouring. The second opinion is a consultation between physicians, but the treating physician makes the final decision for the best treatment plan for the patient.
MORE Health’s Dicom RT will also allow a multi-disciplinary team to review complex cancer cases with their colleagues before providing a second opinion.
The multi-disciplinary team can include radiologists, pathologists, medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists. Once the team completes the treatment review and finalizes the plan, the clinical impressions and contouring adjustments would be shared on the platform with the treating physician to review with the patient.
